Well done to Risca who played well and on the balance of play in the 2nd half deserved their win although the final score flattered them.
I think there will be a few teams in the mix at end of the season and Risca will be one along with us hopefully.
Tillery lacked sharpness today and it was a slightly subdued performance I felt although no-one could criticise the effort or desire. Just one of those days perhaps. Heads up lads and let's bounce back next week against Crumlin.

I thought the boys played really well yesterday with a great level of commitment. At one point Risca were really on the ropes and did not know what to do! I felt we tryed to force the game, throwing wild passes when we were infront which we didnt need to do, these mistakes then let them back in the game. Even the best sides lose though! Bring on Crumlin!!!! See you in training tues! |

Maybe a defeat will have brought us back down to earth a bit..... next up Crumlin away a tricky local derby but a 'good' win will put us back on track. Lets look to getting the win first and then look to follow up with a four try bonus point, a commodity that we have failed to achieve far to often in recent seasons.
This term, 3 tries against both Old Illtydians and Nantyglo and last weeks disappointment in not only the loss but the loss of the bonus point!
Lets learn from our errors
