Celebration

Very Happy Are there any arrangements being made for a celebration this Saturday, or am I being premature?

Do we have to bring our own flags, banners and bunting, or is this provided for by the club?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to confirm promotion even should we win against Abercarn on Saturday. The unions regulatory committee has to meet next Tuesday first to discuss the withdrawal of Talywain and what to do about the points amassed by the other sides in the division!

However......... lets concentrate on winning well on the park Saturday and I'm sure the desired result will come our way.

Incidentally the Risca match has now been rearranged for Saturday 3rd May which hopefully will give our supporters the right atmosphere to celebrate.

Riscarrrggghhhh

It would have been a dream week - Abercarn, Risca(midweek -10 points for Nantyglo etc..) and Leeds(+15 points promotion party) on Saturday!!

Looks like I'll miss the Risca game now  Sad  as family arrangements have been made for trip to Leeds (to see my in-laws of course, not that I looked at the fixture list beforehand Very Happy )

Who will keep 'admin' away from the referee now!!!

See you tomorrow

Hi Graham,

I am returning from self imposed exile for the match tomorrow - my first post on here and my first attendance of the season believe it or not.  Just finishing a major piece of work so will be in the mood to celebrate at the Risca match next week (all being well).

If I go to both matches this should work out around £50 per match (or whatever half my membership fee is!)  It WILL be value for money if we do what is expected of us though.

A big day all round tomorrow - Gwernyfed and Rhiwbina could both do us a favour.  Can't wait.

Will be with the lads in spirit!!

All the best to the lads for tomorrow.

Apologies Simon, I assure you it is not a case of one-upmanship, however, with my VP and Friends of Aber. I estimate that my 4 games in about 3 years are costing more than supporting the Welsh team. I am with you when you say that it is money will spent to see the Town being well represented on the Rugby map.

On my tour around the Welsh clubs there is tremendous support for both Abertillery and Blaenau Gwent, and nothing but good wishes on our climb back up the Tables. That is until they come to play us.

Very pleased to see the Risca game is to be played on the 3rd I will be there for my first League game of the season, and I am sure that the referee will not require any protection from anyone.

Enjoy tomorrow’s game; I will be phoning for the result as soon as I blow the final whistle on hopefully my final game of the season. Unless of course I am required on The Park on the 3rd. Shocked

Blind Pew...

That message brought to you by our sponsors 'Specsavers'.

Good luck to the team this afternoon. A good solid victory will help our cause and the rest is up to the 'bosses'!

It's very warm here today, not ideal rugby conditions. I hope it's cooler in the valley.

Hearty congratulations to the team and club on gaining promotion!

It's been a long hard season and some tough matches but the result is a worthy tribute to my home club.

Let today be the great celebration that you all deserve. Play with flair and confidence and most of all - enjoy it. I wish I could be there with you all!

Thanks and congratulations go not only to the players, but the coaches and back-room boys who all work so hard for the squad.

I'll be raising a glass of red wine to you all this afternoon!

Well done, enjoy and begin to prepare for next season!
