I've always had fond memories of Abertillery, and i was delighted to hear of your top of the table finish and promotion.

I hope that in a few years we'll be meeting again on the field. In the Newbridge NOT getting relegated way of course Wink

Also i've seen it mentioned on here, but i'd like to push it again. The Asda Leagues proboard is at http://asdaleagues.proboards98.com. We've got quite the little community going there, from Division One to Division Five supporters. It would be great to have a few more green faces on there.

Thanks for your good wishes, its one step at a time building towards the ultimate goal of regaining our place at the top table.

We've learnt many lessons through our demise and have resolved to progress our team through our local network, mini/junior/youth local clubs etc. I think given time most teams will realise that this is the best way forward and a real team identity will be achieved.

We certainly hope that once again in the not to distant future we will meet Newbridge in league games, but first there is the 4th division to be won........ Wink

A good page to read. The good wishes from Newbridge are very welcome and the professed aim of growing Abertillery through local resources is an admiral sentiment. I would hope that the population of Blaenau Gwent can produce sufficient potential Welsh stars to raise Aber back to the top and play a role in feeding our Regional side.
