Defeat at Gwernyfed - but no disgrace!Aber lost at their bogey ground by the narrowest of margins 26-25. Each side scored three tries with the green and whites final try coming in injury time, the conversion attempt by Darren Miles from the touch line just missed the mark leaving the home side relieved to achieve the victory. Some consolation was the bonus point gained for being within seven points of the winning side.

Apart from some defensive mistakes and silly indiscipline at times, which ultimately cost us, I thought it was the best performance of the season against a big physical side and at a venue where most teams will struggle.
We perhaps should have won it at the end as the ref started to ping them for slowing ball down illegally at the breakdown which they had done for much of the game and we capitalised with the penalty and the try after their replacment scrum half was sinbinned. Good game which could have gone either way - they are a good side and we will do OK with the effort we saw yesterday - well done to the team and the coaching staff.

Team Performance I would just like to endorse the previous comments. The best performance of the season by far. Congratulations to the team and coaches. You did us proud. I don't think many teams are going to get any change out of Gwernyfed on their own patch.
It's early days but we have nothing to fear in this division if we can replicate this effort in our other fixtures.
