Garndiffaith this SaturdayIts a big match this Saturday at the park when the lads entertain table toppers Garndiffaith.
It will be our third meeting of the season, at the Garn the 'green and whites' played out of their skins and gained a losing bonus point, unfortunately at home in the cup on the next Saturday we were not able to reach these heights for a second successive week.
We've done extrenely well in the league since Christmas another 'great' result will surely leave us safe in division 3e.

Yip big game this week against ' THE GARN ' but we should be relishing the challenge as the team have more than held there own and beaten some of the teams at the top third of the table,we gave them a really good game on there own patch earlier in the season and with a little rub of the green the outcome could of been so different and the team have improved since then.
Did anyone notice 2 of ' THE GARN ' coaches down the park last thursday when we entertained new tredegar ?
At the moment i think the scrum on the whole is going very good, line out could do better but ok, defence is as good as any, full back solid as a rock but i think our biggest downfall is at the breakdown the ball is so so slow coming back and our backs are just not able to do there stuff ands it's all to static,if we can just bring the speedsters ( and we know we got um) onto the ball at pace attacking the opposition instead of taking the kicking option we could cut teams to pieces. The team are doing well but lets take it up a notch...keep it up lads !!!
COME ON ABER !
ps..feel free to comment on my thoughts, lets get some momentum going here.

Response Your quite right in your assessment. We are not clearing the ball out of the rucks effectively. We need to drive over staying on our feet. We are also prone to being turned over too often.
Our strength however which seems contradictory, is when we pick up and drive around the fringes. Although we do have a couple of "flyers " our distribution along the backs is often inaccurate and we overcomplicate with our passing. We rarely break the line from set piece threequarter movement.
Of late we have won several matches as a result of hard graft and good team effort. It's a young team and should continue to improve.

It's a case of the three "p"s - Pace, Power and Possession do all three and together with simple things done well there are not too many teams that can live with us and I cite as evidence the superb game against Croesy which is definitely my game of the season so far and no -one can argue with the five points gained
Go Aber.

I had technical problems last night and this morning and unusually I wasn't at the New Tredegar game hence the late report for that one - apologies for that but I am not able to give immediate results and reports 100% of the time. By the way the score was 15-37.

why not set up a twitter account like abertillerfyrfc and let people text the result on to it so us twitters can read the "tweets" where ever we are? simple solution to getting instant results uploaded.
