Some doubt over the Ynysddu v RTB result as the Wales on Sunday give the result as a win for Ynysddu by 48-5?

I have amended it to the 48-5 result as it seems that teletext probably gave the Caldicot score twice. Table amended too.

Did Llan really lose by 116? Were they all on a stag do or something?

Gwernyfed ahead on points difference if they catch us as well. Not that I am a born pessimist or anything. Just your usual Wales supporter...and I like cricket as well.. or used to...

Hiya Brooksy

Yes mate, Llan really did lose 116-NIL!!!!! Had a chat to one of their "Old Boys" at training last night in the rotund form of Dan "The Suede" Meredith who confirmed it and also added that he was part of the team that registered Llan`s biggest loss of 119-Nil a few years back..........Not one for the rugger CV!!!

I was as shocked as most whan I read the Wales On Sunday, thought they`d registered a print error but sadly not[I say sadly in the sense that I live in the village and count them as a former club!!!]

BIG game Saturday, they probably went through the motions at Gwernyfed last week with the forthcoming fixture in mind.Bring em on I say!!!

Last weeks game against Cwmbran was a decent run about and stopped the majority of the squad missing a week which can have a detrimental effect I feel, especially with the "disruption" Wales games coming up.Good to see Lee Meredith back and playing well in the second row, showed up well I thought.I`ve always been a big fan of Craig Meredith in the back row and he seemed to enjoy the extra freedom!!! Milo was the man again though, its just the angles he cuts with his pace which make him a joy to play with, as well as being a HUGE asset to the team. Also good to see big Andrew Mason back with his physical presence in midfield and Damien Atwell back to full fitness on the wing.

We have been very lucky with injuries this year with just a liberal sprinkling and nobody being out for too long.Speaking of which I hope Old Father Time Meredith will be fit to resume his place in the back row, knee injury pending. As Nick tells me EVERY week, "Did you see me today Dodge??"......"I was everywhere!!!".........No praise like self-praise eh!!??

On a final note of gratification to Brooksy, a quick "Thnak You" for the jugs of beer after the Gwernyfed game mate, much appreciated by all!!!!

Cheers all

Saturday

Hi Dodge and everyone. Re: - I thought I was the only pedantic old git around here!

After watching the captain display his distance and accuracy in hitting the bucket after Gwernyfed I was glad no-one knew it was my birthday the day after...one Brooks the worse for drink is enough I think...

Sadly can't make the Usk match, but no-one needs me to say they are a potential banana skin. Looks like the weather is going to suit us though, the 15 man game is what we do best isnt it? Although we can dog it out too - we're just awesome all-rounders! can someone do my shouting for me? (Nothing too abusive - just the odd comment at the ref when needed)

How is Nicky the Knee? Hope it wasnt ligaments. Did my medials last year skiing (would like to say it was parascending off a glacier but nothing heroic unfortunately, just fell off a sledge like the clumsy old tart I am. God it hurt.)

Any of the boys in Edinbugh next week by the way?

Anyway - my thoughts will be in Usk tomorrow afternoon.

Good luck - remember you are the best team in the division and class will tell.
