season's progress We are now a third of the way through the season and our record is one which most people would have settled for at the commencement of the campaign.
Saturday's match evoked responces such as "after the Lord Mayor's show" when comparing the performance with that against Nantyglo. Nevertheless we showed great character for the last 20 minutes defending our line. There is no doubt that when we attain the form we are capable of and sustain it for most of the eighty minutes then we are going to score an avalanche of tries.
It's good to see "dodgers" back in the fold. He has an astute rugby brain, "soft hands"and consummate skills. Also impressive was Master Buzz who showed a great degree of elusiveness. Our back line is the best in the division.
The forwards play well in patches, althogh we are missing "Gazza" in the back row.
It looks very much like a three horse race for the two promotion places on offer. Bonus points are going to be crucial as Gwernyfed and Nantyglo are unlikely to lose many more matches. It's also probable the results of the top three against each other will also be the other deciding factor.
Well done team and coaches its going to be another exciting season

There's a long way to go this season, we can't write off anyone in our division we should realise this when we think of the close encounters we've had at home against Rhiwbina, Llandaff, Nantyglo. There will be no 'give-me' results we have to work hard for everything we get if we desire promotion.
Gwernyfed and Nantyglo have yet to meet, that should be an interesting encounter
A couple of week off from league action now then the run-in to the half-way mark and a possible indication of our progress.
I must admit that prior to the start of the season I didn't think that there would be much of a step up - I admit I'm wrong

I agree, this is going to be one tough season with no quarter given or expected - but then it was ever thus!.
What does cheer me is the way the team has stepped up to the mark and confronted the challenges of the new season.
Even when we are not clicking as we know we can we still fight it out and achieve a good result ie the Risca game.
Maybe it's distance lending enchantment to the view but whenever I come down to watch a game the whole atmosphere of the club is positive and vibrant and that can only be to the good.
Keep going Aber!!
