Belated congratulations A great running show. This performance endorses my previous e-mail when I stated we have the most exciting backs ( the forwards are pretty good too ) in the division. When one considers that Andrew, Paul and Lee come into the mix we have strength in depth in this department.
I don't think there is much of a jump up in class in this division. Anyone notice Gwernyfed's win in the cup against opponents three divitions higher?

Having spoken to the players the biggest difference this season is the physicality of the teams we are now playing. Also unlike last season when, with respect, we expected to win at RTB's, Oakdale etc who were well off the pace....... this year teams can catch you out. Risca's position in the table doesn't reflect their capability for instance, they are well capable of beating teams at the top end of the table.
We must respect our opposition this year as there are no 'gimme' games!!

Jump in class? I can accept your point regarding the physicality of teams. Your probably right. I still feel however that there has not been any improvement in tactical awareness or a reduction in unforced errors from the teams we have faced so far. Furthermore I have not seen an increase in skill levels. Whilst we cannot afford to become complacent there is no team we need to fear in this division.
As far as no "gimme" games this season I'm not sure. We have still to play the bottom four or five teams yet. Time will tell I guess.
The point I am trying to make ( very poorly I know ) is that our team plays in patches a brand of rugby that surpasses that of any of the opposition so far. If we play to our potential its going to be another successful season.
