The WRU regulatory committee have now expunged all points accrued against Talywain who have failed to complete their fixtures this season.
As we surmised last Saturday that leaves Abertillery BG in an unassailable position and promotion is guaranteed along with last seasons promotion partners Gwernyfed.
We can now look forward to life in division 3 east with local derbies against Blaina, Rhymney, Garndiffaith etc. Brynmawr and Abergavenny having been promoted.

I have only been able to go to one match this season so can't take any credit for being part of the '16th Man' formed by the crowd, but that doesnt stop me being fantastically proud to be an Aber supporter tonight.
I hope these messages find their way to the boys on and off the park, because its should be said that the efforts of all in getting promoted twice in succession are incredible. It is a joy to see the way that rugby is enjoyed again in Abertillery. A heartfelt 'well done' to all - see you saturday.

Congratulations Aber BG on yet another promotion. Looks like us (Gwernyfed) & you lads again. Better watch this space as we may be put into 3 South East with Brecon, our nearest club, being there already & we've spent time in south east & even central before. Maybe the WRU will invest in a Sat-Nav & find out where we are! A good competitive run to the finish by Nantyglo but being a Pontllanfraith boy I'm glad things swung the way they did.
See you next year - hopefully. |

Excellent Aber - two seasons - two promotions.
Well done the team and the coaches you have done the supporters proud.
Keeps me smiling and will do all through the summer.
Thanks to all at The Park.
