What a brilliant result by the team against Nantyglo.
I must admit I came to The Park with some trepidation after reports of our poor showing in the cup but what a wonderful performance by the team.
Congratulations to the team and the coaching staff - you did the supporters proud lads - well done.
Not to demean the ref's authority but can anyone explain Darren Miles' sin bin please?
The ref had not spoken to him all match and for the first offence he sin bins him for holding on to the ball whereas in the first half the ref remonstrates with a Nantyglo player for stamping and then awards a scrum against us??
Second point - can anyone clarify the 90 degree law as regards the scrum.
Spoke to some of players after the game and every time the ref is supposed to have shouted "ball out - play it" which surprised me as on a couple of times the ball was not out.
Anyway not to end on a quibble so well done the lads - now come on Aber supporters get down to Risca and let's roar the lads on !! |

Excellent point Ian. A real bad example of issuing a yellow card.
Dai's "showtime'" performance with the microphone was also a plus point returning to our success on Saturday. I felt excited all over again whenever he announced our scores. What a talented man he is. Mind you he inherits everthing from his Father who is a wise and Godly man. _________________ Graham Riley |
