It was unfortunate that Talywain could not raise a side today, however two key results went our way when Brynithel beat Rhiwbina 11-9 thanks to our permit players, Aled Penn with a try and stirling work from Darren Miles. Llandaff also did us a favour by beating Nantyglo 15-12........... so still plenty to smile about

| Am I right in thinking that if Talywain fail to complete their fixtures their record will be expunged and all points won or lost against them will be withdrawn? Nantyglo and Rhiwbina have beaten them twice so far.......... |

Good question (well, for you anyway! )
I will allow the Sec to explain that. Rhiwbina though only gathered 9 points in their games against Talywain unlike Nantyglo, LLandaff and Risca who got 10 with a bonus point in both games. So if the record was expunged, you can take off 10 points of the latter three but only 9 off Rhiwbina.
Gwernyfed are promoted as result of their win against Tredegar Ironsides and the defeats for Rhiwbina and Nantyglo - congratulations to them on an excellent season and well deserved promotion.

I've contacted the union today to ascertain the dates of the remaining Talywain fixtures should they fullfil them, in which case we would like to arrange the fixture asap and not confront a pile-up in the last week of the season through no fault of our own.
As the web-master has informed you should Talywain not fulfil their fixtures then all their results will be declared null and void and the respective points accrued by their opponents expunged.
I'll inform all when the situation is clearer |

I'm glad you guys are up to speed on the ramifications of the league positions - sounds like higher maths to me!
Well done to Aled and Darren on their scintillating performance on Saturday.
Congratulations to Gwernyfed on their promotion as champions very well played.
Keep going Aber and grab that second place.
